Mother's Day

Love that's ever loving
How I'm doing, ever on her mind.
her spirit full of color
like warm sunshine ever kind.

She held me when I was little
in middle of night when I cried.
She held me when I was older
when life's trial I was tried.

creating happiness in my childhood
with birthday parties of delight.
Now that I'm older
her meatloaf catches my sight.

She sewed on Cub Scout badges
washed clothes and broke up fights
her life and love for Jesus
kept her studying late at night.

Her husband loved her dearly
and she him with all her might.
that we kids may learn of true love
the type that holds you tight.

always doing for others
often going without
giving of her heart
is what she was about

Now is Mothers day morning
trees are bright in bloom
I have this sweet assurance
with my mom there is always room

Love you Mom a zillion!
